Ortho-Keratology (Ortho K) - Our most popular treatment

Orthokeratology, or ortho-k, is the use of specially designed and fitted contact lenses to temporarily reshape the cornea to improve vision. It’s like orthodontics for your eyes and the treatment is often compared to dental braces. Ortho-k lenses are worn at night to reshape the front surface of the eye while you sleep. In the morning, you remove the contact lenses and will have amazing vision. You DO NOT need to wear glasses or contacts during the day but you will need to wear the special contact lenses every night. Vision improvements are reversible but can be maintained if you keep wearing the lenses as directed.

MiSight 1-day soft contact lens by CooperVision

MiSight lenses are the only FDA approved soft contact lenses for the treatment of myopia. They correct your vision similar to how a normal soft contact lens would, with the exception that they are specifically designed to treat myopia. Misight corrects nearsightedness and slows the progression of myopia in children (aged 8-12 at the initiation of treatment) by 59% on average, utilizing special ActivControl Technology. They are worn during the day just like a soft contact lens and because they are dailies, you dispose of them nightly.

Atropine eye drops once a day

Atropine eye drops are applied once a day and normal correction (glasses or contact lenses) are worn throughout the day. Applying atropine eye drops dilates the pupils and temporarily paralyzes the focusing muscle inside the eye. It also relaxes the eyes' focusing mechanisms. Research has suggested that myopia in children may be connected to focusing fatigue so using atropine can control myopia by disabling the focusing mechanism.
